Oh, the mockery!
Let us all vow together, right now, to stop eating Crisco from the can.
Thank you all for your great ideas. Not only did they help me with this year's choice, but now I have so many ideas for future years. Yeah! So I decided to try something a little bit different this year, because the comment above got me thinking--I have a real problem with eating Crisco from the can. I see the glossy, beautiful, white paste and can't help sticking my whole head in the can and having a big lick. Mmm! Just kidding. But I do have a problem with eating peanut butter from the jar and chocolate chips from the bag. So that's what I decided to give up this year. If chocolate or peanut butter has been prepared in something, it's OK (and surprisingly, I don't really have a self-control issue with prepared stuff, but I've been known to down a lot of PB or chocolate chips straight from the jar or bag). So happy new year, folks!

Ohhh I too have a love of straight peanut butter but I haven't let myself have a spoonful in about a year, but I'm sure I've adopted other naughty habits! I was seriously wondering about you with that crisco thing...I didn't even think you would have it in your house you're so healthy!
Good luck!
okay I am almost inspired...almost. I may take it upon myself to start this tradition with you, since you are considering the chocolate chips from the bag thing...i totally do that and hate myself for it ALL the time...because i can't stop. I am seriously contemplating this...i will have to let you know!!(i feel especially needy for this new resolution since i just went on a chocolate chip binge the other week... i feel yuck)
Yeah! you found your thing to give up!
Best of luck this year. It will be interesting to see how you feel about these habits at the end of the year without.
Luckily, I don't have those two addictions, but we all have something, right?
Maybe my out of the "jar/bag" addiction is cheddar sour cream and onion Ruffles chips? That is why I don't buy them except on rare occasions.
