We went on this beautiful hike in Connecticut. Not really, but our friends who took us said it reminded them of Connecticut in the fall. It was the Preston Valley Trail in Logan, UT. I loved the colors and picked up lots of leaves to press. We thought these photos would make lovely family Christmas photos, but if I'm not organized enough to send anything out, here we are!

We packed the kids on our backs and Squeak's backpack broke in two places on the way up. The first time D was able to rig a quick fix, but the second time we had to switch to the mei tai which I had luckily brought along.

This one shows the telltale Rocky Mountains in the background. What an awesome hike! I realized how out of shape I am as I was huffing and puffing up the mountain. We'd like to hike the Grand Canyon next summer--I better get my act together!

These are such great pictures! They are perfect for Christmas cards or any cards. I thought about taking a Fall photo and sending Thanksgiving cards instead of Christmas since it gets so busy but also because there is so much to be thankful for. Anyhow, I love them!!! Glad D could get some time off school, it must be so nice to have him with you. :) Happy Sunday!
Gorgeous shots. Ya don't see leaves like that down here it's true. We did the GC when we'd been married a year (so no kids yet) boy was it a work out. You'll plan on doing it with kids on your backs? You guys are amazing!

My kind of getaway. I love hiking in the mountains in the fall. The leaves are starting to change here finally and I was just saying to NEd we need to go and take some pictures. I ABSOLUTELY love fall!! FUnny how you are in Logan and I used to live there. Maybe one day our paths will cross again!! Have fun!!

Those are beautiful photos! I really miss Northern Utah in the Fall. I am looking forward to the fantastic winter here, though.
I noticed that you said that your baby backpack broke. We have an extra baby-backpack that you can have, if you want. It is a good one that folds for travel. I have used it several times, but I got a different one this past summer that fits me a little better because I have some carpal tunnel in my arm. Katie and I go hiking all the time with my friends from work. Maybe we could get meet up sometime and go hiking.
