Murphy's Law
So, the day after my last post, Squeak had three accidents (pee), which was more than she'd had in the previous two weeks! Then, two days later, when I left her with a friend for the first time since potty training, she pooped her pants TWICE!! I was bemoaning the fact that I'd ever publicized the happy news of potty training success. And you can bet I won't be making any kind of announcement about Pip consistently sleeping through the night until long after it's an established habit.

Egh, not to worry, every kid has set backs. Squeak may have just missed you. Kids respond differently when their surroundings change. I wouldn't worry about it.
Ah, man! Poop in the pants is my second biggest pet peeve of all time (the first is poop on the carpet). I had to get over it fast with Benjamin's "setbacks". It's a pain, but I wouldn't worry about it. Squeak's doing great, especially for her age... I'm sure she'll be back at it beautifully in no time. :)
PS: Sorry about not being able to chat today! I'd LOVE to help you out tomorrow! :) Hope you're having a fabulous time with family! Talk to you soon.
I still think she/you are doing great. It's a process and it sounds like she's got the hardest part down.
Sorry, but I chuckled. I am a mom and know what you are talking about. My three were all late trainers, and I know the ups and downs. Hang in there! If she is ready, it will work and "stick"=)
Isn't that how it goes? I never say a kid is totally potty trained until they don't even wet during the night. So, Issy is potty-trained finally at 4. I learned with the first two that it never goes as easy as u think it might. I unfortunately have known people who actually potty-trained their kids in 1-2 days. I have never done that and don't expect ever to do so. Potty-training is not a fun time, unless they actually finally do it!! Good luck! I'll be there again soon enough..ugh!
