Yes, we all need a vacation from
something. In my case, I needed a respite from loneliness. So at the end of April, I went to see family in Utah, where it was unseasonably warm. It got cold again after I left (good thing, since I had only packed a fleece). It was lovely--I spent time with D's family and my family and even some friends. The reminder that I do, indeed, have friends was splendid. Squeak really enjoyed bonding with cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. I really enjoyed the adult companionship and teaching my first HypnoBirthing class.

The picture with grandpa and grandma made me a bit homesick. I bet they are in LOVE with Squeak since she is such a "Malouf" baby. When I was born I had dark brown hair and then when I was a toddler it got a lot lighter and my mom said that Grandpa would always say not to worry that it would go back to dark brown:) It is no secret that he loves those brown eyed, brown haired babies!
I can't believe you handled all that luggage! Very impressive!

Are you going to be in Utah for Christmas?
Grandpa and Grandma really enjoyed visiting with Squeak (she was really well-behaved during the visit, which helped!)--yes, she definitely has her dad's look. D says maybe someday we'll have a boy and he'll look just like me. One can only hope!
We'll be there during the summer and then again over Thanksgiving (probably) because that's when D has the long break and it's between school semesters. Christmas break is shorter and it's in the middle of the semester so D ends up studying a lot--kind of hard to do on vacation!
Erica is supposed to have her baby any day now! We're pretty excited for them. And then you, and then Aneesa, whoopee!
