I made the mantis costume myself. Actually, just the head and raptorial arms. It was the semester I took entomology. The green attire (too bad the jeans aren't visible) came from the local costume shop, i.e. Deseret Industries.

Squeak became known as "Squeak" because when she was really little, she always made this cute little squeaky noise when she woke up or stretched. We started calling her "Squeak" as a joke, and then it stuck. Now we use it much more loosely, like we say, "She was squeaking during church," meaning that she was screaming her lungs out. But when we say, "Hey, Squeak!" she responds much more readily than when we use her real name. She'll love it when she's 14!!!

School is going fine. It's hard for D, but life is pretty kick-back for me. I wake up, feed Squeak, go running, come home and put away dishes/clean clothes, straighten the house, feed Squeak, shower, check out the weekly ads for supermarket deals, put Squeak down for a nap, feed Squeak, make something for dinner, feed Squeak, do laundry, feed Squeak, put Squeak to bed, say hi to D when he gets home around 11:00, and go to bed. Oh, yeah, I also change S at irregular intervals during the day and make sure I'm eating and drinking enough to keep producing good ol' breast milk (I still haven't started her on solids yet; she's not interested and I'm too lazy). I try to do at least several different projects at once. Right now I'm trying to finish my mission scrapbook, but I'd also like to start S's baby book and make her next set of diapers and put some photos into albums and even hang some pictures/paintings on the walls since the place still looks like we just moved in. Oh, yeah, and I'd love to pull out those Christmas decorations. But I just discovered that Squeak made a little "surprise" in her diaper for me, so I'll take care of that first...
